    Blending Procedure:

    1. Combine the sugar and sweet almond oil in a large bowl and stir well to combine.

    2. Add the shea butter and honey next and use a hand held blender to mix/whip on high speed about 3 minutes. The heat generated by the mixing process will increase the temperature of the shea butter so it combines easily.

    3. You should have a grainy paste. To use, stand naked in a tub or shower and scoop the scrub using your palms. Begin massaging body, extremities first, in circular motions to exfoliate and cleanse.

    4. This mixture is oily and so you will have to be especially careful that you do not slip in the tub!

    5. After you're finished, you can cleanse with soap or bath gel as usual if you''d like to remove some of the excess oil from your skin ... which should feel polished and luxuriant after your treatment!

"will this stay fresh if I want to jar and sell this product?"

"I really love this recipe, although I have made some adjustments. I needed alot more smell, so I use about 10-12 drops of bergamot and 5-6 drops of neroli. I found that the scent was a bit unbalanced on the sweet side, so I also add 4-6 drops of clary sage. I also found that visually the scrub was not interesting, so I add about 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of poppy seeds, which exfoliate and look quite lovely ina clear glass jar. For me, the amount of scrub that this makes is enough to use daily for about 10 days. It is a gift I give to my family because.... It is an excellent treatment for those tiny red dots that many people (myself and my family included) get on their upper arms called keratosis pilaris, a common hereditary condition, in which bumps of keratin protein collect in hair follicles. If you scrub the affected parts of the body rigorously for a minimum of 30 seconds each, you will see a remarkable improvement after as few as three scrubs. "

"I would just like to say, what an amazing scrub. My body has never felt or looked good. Being dark skinned I have had trouble with discoloration, but this scrub has worked a treat. Many thanks. Zarina"
